Am I supposed to get a gift for a quincenera?
I am going to stand in one of my friend’s quinceneras in January and be in a choreographed dance at the reception. Since it’s a birthday celebration, am I supposed to get her a gift and give it to her at the reception like you would at a wedding? If so, am I supposed to get her some kind of traditional gift, or would I give her something you would get any other fifteen year old girl?
its up to you, normally i would give a gift but then again i wouldn’t…. because your one of her damas, and that should be like the best gift ever that u agreed to be one of her main people to be their for that special occasion, but if you do want to get her something, it should be something you want to get her, it doesnt always have to be traditional.

A very special Lady came back into my life this year [God knows I needed her]. Well, her birthday is coming up SOON and I have no clue what to get for her – and it’s stressing me out!!
Please HELP – Try not to be too kinky and give me some realistic ideas. I’m trying to make a good impression with her, and I want it to be a fun time for her too:
- Keep the price down, I can’t break the piggy just yet.
- Sleeping in the morgue is def. out!
- I thought about the “traditional” bubble bath stuff – but may get slapped for that!
- Victoria’s Secret suggested I could buy the store out.
- I thought about something practical like a gift-card from Home Depot but they wouldn’t take wooden nickels or reverse the charges.
Please, PLEASE help me.

Keep in mind: The dinner doesn’t have to be incredibly fancy or elaborate to make a point; the sheer sight of you in an apron puttering around the kitchen should do the job. For extra points, tell her you called your mom/aunt/grandmother for instructions on creating the dish. Don’t forget to set a nice table and chill a bottle of wine to highlight the special nature of the night. Also if you don’t want to have dinner with out no gift give her great-smelling body lotion that will remind her of you and your thoughtfulness on a regular basis.
