In the Philippines Christmas Eve is celebrated on the evening of 24th of December with the Midnight Mass followed by a Christmas feast. The Christmas feast is celebrated amongst family and loved ones. In the Philippines the main items for the feast are usually a hot chocolate drink, Christmas ham and queso de bola which are balls of cheese. Christmas day is all about family and visiting ones extended family to pay their respects. Christmas lunch is another special feast depending on the financial position of each family and is followed by spending time with the family, opening gifts Philippines. and the singing of christmas carols. Parol, or star lanterns, are a special decoration used on this day along with the traditional Christmas lights and Christmas trees. I am a Secret Santa this year for a friend who lives in the Philippines. What is a good American gift to send that is not available in the Philippines? Something inexpensive. Need suggestions please, thanks!
Canned ham (the kind that does not need refrigeration). Most Filipinos love pork and many eat Spam. You might have to send it registered or by some kind of delivery service that requires a signature (e.g. Fedex) to make sure they get it. Chocolate candy is not a good choice for 2 reasons: 1) many Filipinos do not like it (believe it or not) and 2) it’s hot there and the candy will melt. You could also give a gift of clothing. Hurry, you have to allow enough time for shipping.

I own a Wii and I live in the Philippines. I can’t find any Wii points card anywhere. All I want is the internet Channel, scratch that, I NEED the Internet Channel. My sister always hogs the computer so I don’t go on the internet too often. So I’m taking my chance right now and ask the Yahoo! Answers community. I can’t buy Wii points through credit card because they only send the bill in US only.
If someone who is kind enough to spend $5 to gift me an Internet Channel, it would really make my day. I shall even give those who answered at least a thumbs-up even though the answer doesn’t help that much. Please add my Wii number and I shall add yours
