Who spends more money on presents/gifts in your relationship?
I think women do. Men may outspend by a little on special occasions but women are much more likely to buy smaller gifts for men throughout the year (but that’s changing since men are getting pretty nice gifts on valentines and holidays). For example most women I know usually pick something up for their husbands/bf’s when they’re out shopping(usually clothes, a DVD/videogame or chocolate).I think women spend A LOT more. What do you think?
I spend more on presents/gifts. Hands down.
You’re absolutely right – I’m much more likely to pick up smaller gifts like DVDs, videogames, and clothes for him when I’m out shopping. I honestly can’t remember the last time my husband surprised me with a gift like that. But even on holidays I’m likely to spend as much as my husband or sometimes even more. I think it’s because I was an only child while my husband grew up in a big family – I was used to getting spoiled with gifts on birthdays and holidays and he was used to receiving a lot less because his parents had so many kids to buy for. Therefore I’m likely to give a lot more and he’s likely to give less because that’s what we know. Sometimes it bugs me that he always gives me less and never surprises me with little gifts but honestly I get as much or more satisfaction from giving than receiving.
Valentines Day really sucks?
first of all it makes single people feel all lonely, for that day, because all the couples come out kissing, hugging, and showing love to each other, basically showing off their love by rubbing it on single peoples face. also if a girl gets nothing for Valentines day, they feel worthless. even people in a relationship have to shower their girlfriends with flowers and presents, for that one day. also guys who are single buy gifts for women, so they can get laid on Valentines night. Valentines Day is a stupid holiday. there are 365 days, any day is a good day to show love, why is it that one day. do you people also think Valentines Day sucks?
I agree completely. To me valentines day is just a holiday created by hallmark to sell their cards, and candy companies to push their ridiculously overpriced chocolates.
