First Birthday Gift Opening Questions
What is a good order of events for a child’s birthday party?
They will play first. What next? Sing happy birthday, then cut the cake, then eat pizza, then open gifts? Or what would be the best order of events? Thank you.
Have them play first to wear em out then serve the pizza, then let them go play again while u get the cake ready( say 15 to 20 more minutes), then serve cake and open presents right before its time for them to go..that way there is no fighting to play with child’s new toys , nothing gets lost or broken.
What was your child’s first birthday party like?
How many people were there?
What did you do? Did you play games or just let the kids run around?
Did you serve lunch, or just cake and ice cream?
What kinds of gifts did you buy for your child?
Did your child open his or her gifts at the party?
Did you make the cake or buy one?
Any other ideas or comments?
My son’s first birthday was in July at our home.
We had just family friends there (but it was still a lot!) LOL
We didn’t play any games, we just let the kids play in the backyard.
We served hamburgers and hotdogs that my husband made on the grill. We also had appetizers inside the house. We also served cake and ice cream.
I bought toys for my son.
He didn’t open his gifts, my husband had to open them for him.
I bought a cake at Publix because they give you a free cake for your child’s first birthday.
My daughter’s first birthday was in December and we had it at a park.
Only family members attended.
We didn’t serve lunch, but I had made cupcakes.
We bought toys for her.
She opened a few presents on her own.
