Ayers Rock (or Uluru) is one of Australia’s most recognisable natural icons. The sandstone formation stands 1142ft high, with a circumference of 5.8 mi. It has great cultural significance for the A?angu landowners, who lead walking tours of the area, informing visitors of the local bush foods, flora and fauna and Aboriginal dreamtime stories. The sandstone formation is notable for appearing to change colour throughout the day and year depending on the light and weather, glowing red at sunset and silver-grey when it rains.
In addition to the mainland there are several islands to check out, including Tasmania. Promoting itself as the Natural State and the Island of Inspiration, almost 37% of Tasmania is in reserves, National Parks and World Heritage Sites. Despite its small size, there are plenty of sights to see, and Tasmania attracts many tourists for its trout fishing possibilities and the iconic Overland Track bush walk.
So if you’re looking to skip the cold climes of the UK and spend Christmas in the sun, a festive holiday in Australia is an ideal destination.

please help me with my christmas present!?
i am 13 years old and i want a mobile phone for christmas, the only problem is i don’t know which one, the maximum price is 200 dollars and i really love LG… i live in perth so if anyone can just give me some info about different phones and their good and bad points.
remember it needs to be stylish as i am 13

How about getting a less expensive phone and save the extra money that you would’ve spent on the phone. If the phone dials and can store your contacts, that’s all you really need. If it falls in the toilet, it’ll be a $200 waste.

My sis and her family (3 kids) have moved to Oz, Perth W.Australia. Just wondering if anyone knew of any good websites to look at or shops in Oz that are online where I can buy things for my Sis and the kids etc for their b’days/christmas etc. It’ll be easier to buy things online in Oz from UK than have to arrange postage in this country. We need toyshops, book/cd/dvd sites. Gift sites. Obviously they need to be in W.Australia or the delivery in Oz will be huge. Don’t know where to start looking really! Help!
www.myer.com.au is a large department store, or we have K Marts everywhere, which is www.kmart.com.au, www.target.com.au all have a large variety of goods for sale ie., clothes, toys, electrical, books etc etc., these stores are found all over Aus. Also for music try www.sanity.com.au, books www.qbd.com.au for toys try www.toyworld.com.au or www.toysrus.com.au. may not have the web address of all exactly right, but the names are. Good Luck!
